Metropolitan Masonic Concert Series
The Metropolitan Masonic Concert Series is pleased to announce that this year’s concert will take place on 27th September 2016. The concert is part of a series of now annual classical music concerts for Metropolitan Classical music lovers and their friends, families and wives/partners.
The series is designed to provide tuneful, approachable music and to highlight younger performers. This year’s artistes are The Behn Quartet who will play string quartets by Ravel, Mozart (No. 6 in Bb KV 159), Borodin (No.2 in D major) and perhaps rather surprisingly, Queen. It is also MMCS’ custom for senior Freemasons to read favourite poems in the breaks between pieces and those performing this year include, Sir David Wootton, the Assistant Grand Master; Russell Race, Second Grand Principal; Sir Michael Snyder, Metropolitan Grand Master; Simon Duckworth, Deputy Metropolitan Grand Master; Graham Redman, Deputy Grand Secretary; Captain David Swain, Metropolitan Grand Secretary and other distinguished Freemasons.
Bookings received before the end of June will receive an ‘early bird’ discount and at £20 per head are at a 20% discount to the full-price ticket of £25. Tickets can be purchased here.
The concert will start at 19:00 and is expected to finish at around 21:00, and will include an interval during which wine, soft drinks and canapés will be served.
