Derry Otu is from Sterndale Bennett Lodge No 2182, and his daughter Nikkita has has been epileptic since the age of 18 months old. However since last July it took a sharp decline and Nikkita found herself in a situation she never thought possible, and to the point that she cannot be alone at any time.
Nikkita has organised a Comedy Night for 29th September 2017 to raise money for The Kent Ward Fund (St Georges Hospital, London) and Epilepsy Action; both who have helped Nikkita and many thousands, if not millions, of people slowly regain their lives back each year, and tickets are now on sale for you to be able to come along and support her and her worthy causes! ALL proceeds will be split equally between her designated causes!
Celebrating the new comedy of London with great comics, including music and atmosphere in the iconic setting of The Bedford, it promises to be a fantastic night and all we need is you to make the night complete!
Nikkita has set an ambitious aim of raising £250 for the event, and needs your help getting over that mark!
See the poster at the bottom of the page for more information, or go here to get your tickets now!
Also be sure to check Channel 4’s ’24 hours in A+E’ which has done a feature on Nikkita which is to be aired at the start of the new series in October.
Unfortunately Nikkita was admitted to hospital on Monday 11th September where they have implanted a ‘VNS’ which is like a pacemaker but with a wire that goes into the brain that detects abnormal electrical activity in the brain and fire a burst of electricity to disrupt the abnormal signals, but this has not deterred from her fundraising. Grab your tickets today to support her before they run out!
